Upcoming ARtist opportunities at TAM
PROPOSE
Torrance Art Museum invites the submission of proposals for group exhibitions and projects. The project dates are ongoing and variable and subject to change. Applicants must be locally based (Southern California). TAM will assist with logistics, will promote the project, and provide practical support for chosen exhibitions/projects.
TAM does not accept proposals to host exhibitions for juried shows, non-art special interest groups, amateur artists or non-curated/ non-themed exhibitions. For more information on TAM’s facilities as well as detailed rules and requirements for exhibition/project consideration, please click here.
This is a FREE program; there is no fee to apply. Proposal deadline for exhibitions/projects is ongoing.
CYCLADIC ARTS RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Where: Alyki, Paros, Greece
When: Fall 2025
What: The pilot program for an artist-in-residency collaboration between Torrance Art Museum and Cycladic Arts. The museum’s curatorial staff will choose one artist to take part in the program. Flight and cost of the residency will be sponsored (expenses and materials are not covered). Cycladic Arts mission is to support the dialogue and exchange of experiences, knowledge and skills between people from diverse geographic and ethnic backgrounds, ages, and forms of art and culture. Cycladic Arts encourages international projects and collaborations in Greece and abroad.
2024 applications are no longer being accepted. Updates regarding 2024 Artist-in-Residence, Kim Manfredi will be posted as the residency unfolds.
Deadline to apply for the third edition of the residency project (coming Fall 2025) is May 31, 2025.
Torrance Art Museum and the City of Torrance cares about the health and well being of our visitors and community, and politely request that if guests are experiencing any symptoms that they refrain from entering the museum at that time. Currently masks are not required, although recommended. TAM will strictly follow health and safety guidelines set by state, county and local health officials that will be in effect at the time of the events.
